Job Description If you are a motivated senior designer with skills and interest in designing RF IP block that will be used in most of the cellphones sold today, Skyworks' IP team is looking for you!
As a part of the company's IP development team you, will work on RF products as well as developing RF IP blocks that are used across the company. You will be designing RF circuit blocks such as LNAs, PAs and switches.
The candidate is expected to explore, devise and prototype a variety of RF circuits in order to enhance the competitive position of Skyworks. The work involves close interaction with products teams to devise solution that meet or exceed demanding customer requirements. In particular, a variety of LNA and switch topologies are to be devised and cataloged to satisfy Skyworks customer specifications. The work also involves helping Skyworks design community in RF IP integration, IP customization and performance verification via simulation. In this role you will collate the requirements from various design teams and work with our systems team to define the specifications for Skyworks' IP blocks. You will also work on device optimization to maximize the performance of RF circuits. #LI-SG1
Responsibilities Develop RF IP block designs to meet product design teams' requirements with all the necessary collaterals including documentation and integration guides Update existing IP block designs to serve the needs of various design team Spend 50% of time on direct product development of LNA, switch, and PA dies that are integrated into Skyworks RF front-end modules Qualifications MS/PhD and 10-15 years' direct experience in RF design Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills A positive, can-do attitude Minimum 10 years RF design experience in Si/SOI/SiGe RF design Experience in analog design for control of RF circuits such as temperature sensor, DAC, ADC, TIA, BGAP, current source, voltage regulator Fluency in virtuoso design environment from schematic capture to GDSII Track record of designs that resulted in high-volume manufacturing Hands on experience using RF lab equipment
Preferred Qualifications: PA design using GaAS HBT/HEMT Verilog-A modeling Python programming The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $124,400 - $235,700per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
