Pricing Analyst - Remote

This is a remote position with flexibility, although occasional in-office presence is required. Applicants must reside within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Washington DC, New York City, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Orange County.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in profitability analyses related to legal matters, as well as in managing billing rates and complex fee arrangements.
Responsibilities:
Model matter profitability and provide scenario analysis to guide pricing decisions for firm management.
Offer project management support to attorneys for pricing and scoping engagements, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Research and identify existing/historical firm matters to establish baseline budgets for new matters.
Design templates to assist attorneys in budget establishment and monitor engagements regularly, providing reports to management.
Create analysis and design reports/presentations showcasing pricing trends.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate data capture and availability of tools for pricing analytics.
Conduct ad hoc analyses using the firm's various data stores and tools.
Undertake special projects on various issues as required.
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of pricing fundamentals.
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to integrate details into a larger strategic context.
Strong customer focus, responsiveness, ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to efficiency and excellence.
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in handling large volumes of data and advanced Excel skills (formulas, macros, pivots, data manipulation).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to foster effective relationships with senior management, attorneys, and staff.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, law/political science, finance, accounting, or project management.
Minimum of 4 years of financial and/or pricing experience; preference given to those with experience in large law firms or corporate legal departments.
