We are looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our company full time in Conshohocken, PA. The ASP Pricing Analyst is responsible for the oversight and accountability for all analytical pricing activities related to timely, accurate and audit compliant submissions to Medicare. This role supports all aspects of the development of ASP pricing and contracting strategies, maximizing patient access. The Pricing Analyst will provide management with the needed analysis and information to apprise the organization's pricing strategy, as well as operationalize tactical decisions to meet key goals, objectives, and pricing guarantees. Must have experience in pricing Pharma or Biotechnology and be an expert level Data Analyst with experience in data driven tools/technology.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Play a key role in the organization with owning the Medicare ASP Quarterly submissions process from data harvest, evaluation, accuracy, and final calculations. This is a critical position in the Biotech space
-Communicates findings, trend analyses and recommendations verbally and in writing to management and other stakeholders.
-Identifies marketing strategies to increase profits.
-Ability to read, research and understand guidance from Government and other agencies while retaining, applying, and growing your knowledge base.
-Reconciliation of payments or other finance functions such as reconciliation of data to the G/L.
-Reviews and approves day-to-day pricing events under authority and delegation.
-Develops and manages reporting templates used to analyze and interpret data.
-Ensures data quality of all outgoing reports and analyses.
-Designs complex ad hoc reports to support a variety of functional areas.
-Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials (i.e., market competitive trends, customer specific trending)
-Identify process improvement opportunities and develop or enhance tools to assist in the work deliverables.
-Provide recommendations and review the analysis and business drivers based on cost-benefit analysis interpretation.
-Provides on the job training, guidance, and quality review to the team.
-Anticipate the consequences of pricing and business analysis decisions while weighing multiple factors, and review as appropriate with management.
-Act as project manager and provide analytical support / guidance for major ASP reporting and impact on ASP from New Revenue Contracts
-Review and action contract compliance monthly.
-Provide guidance and recommendations on pricing activities, initiatives, and deliverables for the organization.
-Analyze and prepare analysis for marketing and contracting and provide pricing recommendations based on these analysis and feedback.
-Use databases and tools to obtain, prepare, compile, and analyze information.
-Analyze key KPIs such as forecast accuracy to drive improvements in our demand planning.
-Work with marketing and supply chain to ensure the demand forecast is entered into the system.
-Provide support during the new molecule process by ensuring models and information is up to date.
-Support the financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning process.
-Coordinates all activities related to RF/Bid preparation, review, approval and submission.
-Collaborates with finance to facilitate issue resolution and support of accrual information need.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:
-Must be analytical, have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize projects.
-Ideal candidates will have a strong financial background based on a combination of education, experience, or both. Background in healthcare, pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences is a plus. Competency with data analysis tools, client service experience, understanding of pricing strategy / methodologies, and an ability to rapidly learn and apply new concepts.
-High accuracy rate and attention to detail
-High degree of analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
-Experience working with large data sets or proficiency with data tools such as MS Excel is Experience with data tools such as SQL or MS Access is a plus.
-Ability to work independently and must be able to transition quickly and seamlessly from one project to another.
-A general understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, distribution, and regulatory processes is desirable.
-Understanding of defined service areas, including Commercial Contract Administration and rebate and fees adjudication, Medicare contracting, and rebate processing or Government Pricing Calculations is a plus.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
-Proven ability to present evaluations to leadership.
-Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint; Access and data visualization software experience preferred.
-Position requires 100% accuracy with data and calculations using excel formats and various formulas.
-Ability to document work with legible handwriting.
Education & Experience:
-Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
-Expert level Data Analyst with experience in data driven tools/technology.
-Must have experience in pricing Pharma or Biotechnology
-Experience with CMS Medicare submission
-Experience working with Microsoft programs.
-Good knowledge of QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
