Reports To: Press Room Supervisor
SUMMARY:
Support the Press Room operation and the Pressman throughout the Press Room ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Remove product bundles safely off Press using lift system. Properly stack skids in correct order. Participate in Make Ready (M/R) and hang plates. Check pagination and other quality checks once press is running. Help with Press wash up during change over. Demonstrate consistency in the observation of all safety procedures including bending and lifting techniques. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations. Must work well with others. Must be flexible and open to change when needed. Must have the ability to carry out instructions. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must the ability to work up to 10 to 12 hour shifts. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of formal job related training (can be waived)1-3 years of job related work experience (can be waived) COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The ability to read and write English The ability to communicate effectively both orally and verbally MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math skills Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to generate solutions to problem without equipment
