Responsibilities
• Prepares food items according to production sheets and recipes• Labels, dates, covers, monitors quality and freshness, and rotates prepared items• Replenishes food levels in a timely manner• Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques• Maximizes sales potential through proper procedures for prepping, stocking, and merchandising• Follows established procedures for Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices• Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment and properly maintains equipment• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned• Reports safety hazards and violations• Performs other assigned duties
Requirements
• Thorough product knowledge and ability to follow a recipe• Good understanding of food production and cooking techniques• Good basic math skills and strong to excellent communication skills• Ability to meet customer service expectations and follow directions• Effective time management and organization skills• Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals• 6-12 months of retail experience
