Team Member Expectations Pre-Construction Manager Reports to Vice President of the Building Division
Team member will lead the preconstruction efforts for Sanford Contractors Building Division. Team member must have the ability to organize as well as prioritize and pay attention to detail. Team Member must have the actions and appearance that represents the Sanford Contractors brand at all times.

Core Duties: § Lead by example

§ Lead the safety effort by recognizing and correcting hazards as soon as they are present and be the #1 safety advocate for the department
§ Represent yourself and the company in a professional manner at all times
§ Assist in training other team members as needed
§ Work along with the Division leader to build and nurture relationships with past, current and future customers
§ Review advertisements for bid opportunities
§ Complete accurate bids/budgets on projects in a timely manner
§ Work along with the Division leader to negotiate a contract on projects we are pursuing
§ Coordinate the execution of subcontracts and purchase orders with the Division Administrative Assistant
§ Proof plans for conflicts and constructability concerns, communicate these to the appropriate parties
§ Provide project package to construction team prior to the in house preconstruction meeting
§ Coordinate the in house preconstruction meeting with the construction team
§ Develop project schedule and communicate it to the construction team
§ Attend weekly team meetings
§ Perform subcontractor outreach and continuously build database
§ Attend project meetings as needed
§ Ensure all team members abide by company policy
§ Be willing to go the extra mile with surges in workloads
§ Communicate time away from work with the Division leader and other team members with sufficient notice
§ Willingness to work hours as required
Education/Training/Certification: § BS Degree in Design/Civil Engineering/Construction Management (Preferred) or Equal Experience 8 to 10 years in the field
§ OSHA Supervisor Training
§ First Aid/CPR
§ Use of Plan Swift, Procore, Bluebeam or similar Estimating Software
Reasoning Ability: · Willing and able to learn new ideas, processes and develop skills required
Physical Demands: Stressful at times due to deadline demands May require a combination of sitting, standing and walking. Lifting will be limited to no greater than 50 lbs. * Sanford Contractors is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
