A leading women-owned digital-first media and PR agency based in Las Vegas is seeking a skilled and passionate Public Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a PR professional who is not only a news enthusiast but also a creative thinker, a client leader, and a media relations expert. This full-time position will report directly to the Vice President of Public Relations and will be instrumental in the strategic planning and execution of PR campaigns for our hospitality and consumer clients.
As a Public Relations Specialist at our agency, you will:
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with our clients' goals and brand identity.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing strategic guidance and building strong, trusting relationships.
- Identify and engage with key media contacts across various platforms to secure coverage for our clients.
- Craft compelling press materials and content, including news releases, articles, and blog posts, to effectively communicate our clients' stories to the media.
- Coordinate interviews and ensure that our clients' spokespeople are well-prepared and consistently articulate key messages.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing your industry knowledge and insights.
- Collaborate with our integrated team to ensure that PR efforts are aligned with other marketing channels.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, with a proven track record of executing successful media relations campaigns in the hospitality and consumer industries.
- A robust network of media contacts and a deep understanding of the media landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in media monitoring tools, such as Meltwater, to measure the impact of PR efforts and demonstrate ROI to clients.
- A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
