Summary of Job Duties:
It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to perform more than one of the following research tasks:
* Be familiar with CVD and other available methods to grow novel nanomaterials, focusing on 2D materials.
* Employ standard techniques for their transfer and characterization such as XRD, SEM, TEM, AFM, Raman, PL, FTIR, etc.
* Mentoring and supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
* Writing technical grant reports, publishing papers, and assisting in gathering information for proposal writing and progress reporting.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* A Ph.D. degree in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
* Experience with the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials, other nanomaterials, or thin films.
* Experience in experimental data acquisition and processing for materials' assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in 2D materials synthesis, characterization, and transfer techniques
* Experience in CVD and other related synthesis techniques.
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Publication record
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary research environment, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
