Job DescriptionA Postdoctoral Associate position is available within the Amanda Morris research group to support our recently awarded Commonwealth Health Research Board program and an existing National Science Foundation program. The work involves the preparation and photo(electro)chemical characterization of molecularly modified titania surfaces for applications in photocatalysis and quantum sciences and photoinduced drug delivery from metal organic framework cages. The projects will involve small molecule synthesis (inorganic and organic), metal organic framework synthesis, photolysis measurements, and potential biological work in collaboration with other groups. Characterization techniques such as NMR, powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravametric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and transient laser spectroscopy will be components of the work.Required Qualifications-Ph.D. in Chemistry or an appropriate related field.
