Job DescriptionA postdoctoral associate position in the area of organoid design and engineering is available in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Virginia Tech (Blacksburg VA, USA). The post-doctoral associate will be responsible for developing novel techniques for designing organoids, including methods for analyzing their properties using single-cell techniques. The postdoctoral associate will also be responsible for data management and dissemination of scientific results.The postdoctoral associate will closely interact with the Pandemic Prevention and Prediction Destination Area. The associate will have opportunities to collaborate with virologists, drug designers, and computational biologists. Projects will include developing organoids to support the complete life cycle of viruses and high-throughput testing of candidate anti-viral drugs. Candidates should demonstrate all relevant qualifications (see required and preferred qualifications below) in their application packet.Required QualificationsPhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biological Sciences or related field.
