Responsibilities
• Study host-pathogen interactions with a focus on influenza virus, SARS-CoV-2, and mycobacterium tuberculosis• Research pathogenesis of lung diseases like IPF and COPD• Conduct stem cell therapy and human lung tissue modeling• Utilize techniques such as high throughput analyses, gene knockout/down and overexpression, and gene/protein quantitation• Collaborate with research faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and PhD students• Develop professional career skills including presentation, networking, and grant writing
Requirements
• Ph.D./Ed.D. in Physiology or a related field• Background in microRNA/LncRNA-influenza virus interactions and/or engineering stem cells for lung disease treatment• Experience in lung diseases, influenza virus, and/or stem cells is a plus
