Podiatry Clinic Medical Assistant Location Scottsdale, AZ : Seeking a motivated and skillful medical assistant to assist with the day to day operations in a Scottsdale podiatry clinic (with two providers). As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
This job is currently Monday-Thursday.
Hours: 7:45am-4:45pm. Lunch 12:15-1:15pm
Responsibilities Rooming patients in exam rooms and taking vital signs. Managing the referrals made to vendors such as labs, radiology, and DME groups (and following up with those vendors). Schedule and coordinate surgeries, when necessary (this also may require the occasional prior authorization). Maintain and order office supplies. Assisting with in-office procedures, when needed. Reaching out to patients and providers for the purposes of continuing care. Returning calls to patients/answering questions for patients/completing referrals. Perform other administrative duties, i.e. data entry, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc., when needed. Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed. Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols. Qualifications · Knowledge of front and back office protocols in a medical setting (required).
· Knowledge of surgery scheduling (preferred).
· Ability to learn podiatric knowledge (previous experience is preferred, but not required).
· Able to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to patients.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Detailed oriented is a must.
· Multitasking and time-management skills is a must.
Pay: From $20.00-$27.00 per hour DOE
