Job Title: PLC / Manufacturing Technician Location: Sumter South Carolina United States Industry: Medical Equipment / Devices Job Category: Engineering Electrical Compensation: Base Salary: USD $50960 to $60320 Fulltime position with full benefits Relocation Assistance: Not available Bonus Eligible: Yes Overtime Eligible: Yes Interview Travel Reimbursed: No SignOn Bonus: $1500 Job Description: As a PLC / Manufacturing Technician you will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of electrical pneumatic hydraulic and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process. Working directly with Engineering you will supervise and enhance processes for output and waste levels. This role requires leadership and ownership of process performance issues reporting directly to Production Maintenance (Engineering) and indirectly to Production.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain all electrical systems used on production equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as needed. Assist Engineering with the installation debugging and startup of all equipment including maintaining and adjusting vision systems within defined parameters. Keep equipment logs for assigned equipment recording downtime and maintenance problems. Document all process changes using approved control change procedures. (Sharps Departments Only) Mix silicone/solventbased formulation used for needle lubrication ensuring solids percentage remains within acceptable parameters using a viscometer. Ensure compliance with safety environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR). Provide Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance including production and waste data. Lead problemsolving efforts related to production equipment. Coordinate and support other maintenance activities as required. Required Qualifications: High School diploma / GED Associate Degree (Mechatronics or similar subject area) preferred Ability to work 8pm8am on a 3 2 2 3 schedule Extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and electricalmechanical maintenance. Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs Proficiency in reading and interpreting ladder logic Electricalmechanical troubleshooting skills Experience in a highspeed automated manufacturing environment preferred Candidate Details: 5 to 7 years of experience Seniority Level: Associate Management Experience Required: No Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Willingness to Travel: Never Remote Work : No
