Planning Supervisor

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Supervisor to join our team at our facility in Lapeer, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP software, Lean Manufacturing principles, scheduling, and preferably have a Bachelors Degree in the related field. This is a Salary position. Responsibilities Personnel and organizational management of the internal MRP department. Manage internal capacities within the production process in consideration of customer demand and production utilization Securing internal delivery reliability to ensure on time supply for all production departments Coordination of external raw material vendors to secure supply for production Capacity leveling throughout the Internal supply chain as basis for efficient production Definition of economic lot sizes while archiving target according to working capital as inventory responsible for raw material, half-finished and finished goods including work in progress Analyze the day-to-day functions of department to highlight areas for possible improvement through the use of statistical and cost analysis. Preparation of KPIs; Monitoring the target values. Constant monitoring of machine capacities. Implementation of logistical projects or cooperation within projects. Coordination with Customer Service in case of supply shortages. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management or Industrial Engineering is preferred, or equivalent coupled with higher degree and/or training. Prior supervisory experience. Prior Materials Management experience. Good communication skills. Computer experience is required, specifically experience with spreadsheets and programming knowledge is helpful. Experience with ERP System preferred (SAP modules SAP IM, SAP PP). Physically able to lift 30 pounds. You should be proficient in:
