GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Pickling Exit Operator is responsible for all the functions as listed below. Operation of this area must be understood in total with the focus of utilizing the equipment to meet all the quality and productivity goals as outlined in our quality system. All work instructions are to be followed as outlined.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: General overview of the LP General safety Lock out tag out ISO AS-400 Crane training Forklift training Time sheets Time off request Accident/incident reports Product ID and parking Recycle program Serious misconduct policy LP objectives Operation of the Coil Pickling Line Neutralization tanks Sulfuric acid handling HC1 handling Nitric acid handling HF acid handling Salfamic acid handling Lime silos and addition Clarifiers Sludge tanks Outfall Sand filters Computer control of the systems Scanacon SAFU system Acid management PH control Machine sheet entry at the Pickling Line All items are defined under the Pickling Operator Work Instructions
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school degree or equivalent (GED) PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Mobility in plant requires standing, standing/walking, and walking. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Visual ability with or without correction. Communication abilities. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations. Follow Company safety rules. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
