A growing local firm needing an experienced PI paralegal to join their team. If you're needing to make a change, this is it!
Responsibilities and Duties
* Draft letters and other forms of correspondence.
* FOIA Requests.
* Obtain and organize documentation required at different stages of pre-litigation.
* Coordinate with Investigator to obtain photos of scene and witness statements when needed.
* Process PIP/Medpay.
* Obtain prior injury/medical and claims/lawsuits history.
* Review all medical records.
* Maintain regular contact with clients.
* Prepare notice letters to Medicare/Medicaid and lienholders.
* Draft and send out demand packages; monitor receipt and processing of demand.
* Prepare closing statements, check account balances, and process disbursement.
Qualifications and Skills
* 5+ years of paralegal experience(background in PI work)
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, deliver results, and maintain quality while working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
* Ability to work effectively in collaboration with others.
* Demonstrated proficiency and experience with a broad range of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong research skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
