Responsibilities
• Develop curriculum tied to physiology• Teach and facilitate student instruction using active learning methodologies• Create learning objectives and assess student performance• Participate in leadership and group membership within the medical school• Participate in professional development programs• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• Doctoral degree with training/experience in physiology or related field• Experience designing, developing, and delivering physiology content in higher education• Evidence of teaching excellence in higher education• Experience in curricular development and review in higher education• Experience in interdisciplinary team endeavors• Preferred: >2 years experience in medical education with physiology focus• Preferred: Experience in curriculum development and assessment in physiology• Preferred: Experience with educational technologies and active learning methodologies• Preferred: Understanding of different assessment methods• Preferred: Experience with teaching physiology content• Preferred: Skills expected of all AWSOM team members
