Responsibilities
• Provides direct physical therapy services according to directions of the Physical Therapist• Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance• Reviews patient programs and submits progress reports to the physician and/or PT• Instructs patients regarding physical therapy procedures• Adheres to standards of care and ethics and company policies• Participates in staff development activities and in-services education programs• Meets productivity and utilization expectations• Completes timely clinical documentation• Completes administrative/billing documentation• Covers more than one facility as required
Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistants' program with an Associate's degree• Licensed or Certified by the state in which the Physical Therapist Assistant resides or practices• Physical ability to perform moderately heavy physical exertion• Specific vision abilities including close, distance, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus• Exposure to infectious diseases• Adherence to applicable standards of care and ethics
