Responsibilities
• Review, collect and evaluate relevant clinical data• Formulate and implement an appropriate patient care plan• Coordinate patient care plans with patient/family and other care providers• Perform therapeutic procedures as outlined in the patient's plan of care• Participate in patient/family teaching• Maintain clinical and professional competency• Complete all documentation requirements in the established time frame• Supervise care delivered by assistants or aides• Attend in-service programs and departmental or hospital meetings• Mentor students, new employees, and volunteers
Requirements
• Current Alabama Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech & Language Pathology licensure• Maintain active status with license in good standing• Ability to write legibly, speak, and read English• Maintain current license in one of the previous listed clinical specialties• Analyzing patient data to determine treatment goals• Entering patient or treatment data into computers• Collaborating with others to plan or provide treatment• Having normal vision and hearing, or correctable to normal• Being detail-oriented and thorough in completing work tasks• Being reliable, responsible, and dependable• Having a pleasant and cooperative attitude• Tolerating prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing• Exerting physical effort such as pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, lifting, and walking• Exposure to bodily fluids, disease, infection, and hazardous materials• Using protective or safety equipment as required
