Conducts blood draws for studies located at the unit or outside the unit.Assists with study data entry and other administrative tasks.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies.

Responsibilities
• Conduct research study visits that involve venipuncture at or outside the Clinical and Translational Research Unit.• Recruitment of study participants, including screening and scheduling participants.• Study visit-related tasks, such as using centrifuge to spin blood, aliquotting and freezing collected blood samples, sending samples for testing, labeling blood tubes or stocking carts.• General unit or clinical maintenance tasks such as maintaining unit logs.• Attend training during which the background of the project, goals of the research, and the protocol will be presented.• Completing other trainings such as CITI training and lab training.
Requirements
• Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate.• Will need to have flexible availability and will be able to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed.• Reliable transportation as travel to different areas of the state may be involved.• Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 20 lbs and carrying up to 20 lbs.• Hand dexterity to conduct venipuncture and pipette samples.
