Responsibilities Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health, and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description:
Performs venipunctures and other patient specimen collections Has thorough knowledge of testing and collection requirements, Requires moderate supervision.
Qualifications Job Requirements: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy training program.
Experience:
Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, Emergency Room
Technician, LPN, or Paramedic with phlebotomy skill set
Technical Skills:
Basic computer knowledge required.
License/Certification:
Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care
analyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse,
License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If national
certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the
State of Nevada within 6 months of hire.
Other: Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set. Compensation Range: $ 16.29 - $ 21.58 / hour
