Job summary
The inpatient pharmacy technician supports pharmacists in providing pharmacy services.Responsible for packaging, preparation, and distribution of medications, inventory control, customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records.Ensures regulatory compliance and communicates effectively with patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities
• Accurate and timely preparation of medications, including labeling, repackaging, compounding.• Delivery of medications to appropriate storage locations.• Maintaining accurate inventories of medications and supplies.• Compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations, including temperature logs and training.• Effective communication with caregivers and patients.• Assisting with training of pharmacy caregivers and students.• Appropriate use of information systems, technology, and automation.• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED.• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program preferred.• Certification or eligibility for certification as a pharmacy technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.• Six months of hospital experience preferred.• Ability to perform algebraic calculations and basic computer skills.• Physical capabilities for standing, walking, reaching, and sitting for prolonged periods.• Manual dexterity for computer, dispensing, and compounding.
