Description
DiRx Pharmacy Department is seeking Florida-registered Pharmacy Technicians for our Fulfillment team. This team works to get prescriptions filled and shipped directly to the patient's home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task effectively, strong organizational skills, and previous pharmacy experience.
This is Full Time 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays 7:30 AM-4 PM. Position is ON-SITE
All staff must maintain an active pharmacy technician registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
DUTIES:
Uses multiple software systems and websites to process prescriptions
Fills and ships prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy and speed
Escalate requests to the supervising Pharmacist if outside of the technician's scope of responsibility
Maintain HIPAA compliance in all functions of the position
Restocking medication onto shelves in the correct location
Perform other duties as required such as pharmacy housekeeping (breaking down boxes, dusting, taking out the trash, etc)
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of FL
Experience working in a mail-order pharmacy preferred
SKILLS: Good knowledge of prescription drugs, disease states, medical terminology, and ability to read and interpret prescriptions and directions
Proficiency in Pharmacy computerized systems and software applications
Ability to learn new computer systems and adapt to new processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
Possess problem-solving skills
Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and occasional extra time as needed
Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time
