We are immediately hiring Pharmacy Technicians to join our experienced Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in the operations related to medication preparation and distribution. Medication preparation requires extreme accuracy and attention to detail. The pharmacy technician has high level security clearance with access to all medication storage areas, procedural areas, surgical suites, etc. The pharmacy technician works in a highly regulated environment and must take care to abide by all state and federal regulations that relate to the practice of pharmacy including record keeping and infection prevention standards. Responsibilities include accurately performing pharmaceutical calculations, compounding non-sterile dosage forms, and effectively utilizing inventory management systems and automated dispensing cabinets.
Shall possess the personal characteristics necessary for successfully fulfilling his/her responsibilities. These characteristics include good communication skills, initiative, and attention to detail, flexibility, and cooperation. Preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique, following USP797/800 requirements, using LAWs or CAIs Managing expired IV medications, returns and credits Monitoring and documentation of environmental conditions Must have training in: applicable EHR, pharmacy automation, sterile compounding, and computer applications including Microsoft Word Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
