Job Summary: The position will perform all duties commensurate of a coordinator for an accredited pharmacy technician training program. This technician will be responsible for the development and maintenance of an accredited pharmacy technician training program curriculum. The position will coordinate student didactic, simulated, and experiential education at UK HealthCare. The coordinator will act as a liaison to ensure that the students receive the intended educational experience and exposure to pharmacy practice throughout the system. The position will also evaluate program success in collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team. The position will serve as content expert for advanced technician certifications that are possible, and provide departmental support as needed.
Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: The ideal candidate will have experience in appropriate education methodologies, course development, and course instruction and evaluation; effective communication skills (both written and verbal); the ability to prioritize; and will be reliable, dependable, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Required Education: AA
Required Related Experience: 3 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification : Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician and registered with the Ky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Education/Experience: Graduate of an ASHP -accredited pharmacy technician training program and/or an Associate degree holder, and professional organization involvement at the state and national level preferred.
