Department Name: H3330:Pharmacy Services
Job Summary: Assist pharmacist(s) in obtaining prior to admission medication histories; assess patient risk factors for adherence to prescribed regimens; review/enter patient allergies and triage medication-related problems identified via communication with pharmacists, other providers, or patients. Assist in the training of staff and development of procedures. Work with the prior authorization and patient assistance teams to asses medication coverage. Use of multiple computer devices and programs for adequate documentation are required.
Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Required Education: AS
Required Related Experience: 2 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification : Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB ( PTCE ) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Education/Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
