Responsibilities
• Engages patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive patient experience• Shares customer service best practices and promotes awareness of healthcare services offered through Walgreens• Counsels and answers patient questions regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies• Collaborates with Store Manager to define and develop new strategic business opportunities• Manages pharmacy maintenance, housekeeping, and improvement• Prepares and submits all necessary records, reports, and documentation• Partners with Store Manager on hiring and performance management of pharmacy staff• Maintains current knowledge and required licensing/certification for clinical services• Analyzes performance data, manages asset protection and inventory, and identifies opportunities for improvement• Develops and maintains relationships with the local medical community and promotes the pharmacy business
Requirements
• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from accredited educational institution• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing• Experience with applicable state and federal controlled substance laws• No disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (Internal candidates only)
