DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES In the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the Personnel Officer is responsible for processing various personnel transactions, including FMLA requests, Worker's Compensation claims, hiring of new employees, assisting with payroll, and performing additional duties.
ELIGIBLE PERSONS At the time of application, eligible persons must have:
Associate's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Business Administration, Personnel Management, Human Resources, Public Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science or a Closely relate field; AND Two (2) years of full-time paid experience in a Personnel Office: OR Five years paid experience in Personnel.
