Job Description AECOM  is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Permitting Specialist/Wetland Scientist to join the Chelmsford, MA office and support projects in the Northeast and around the globe. We are looking for an Environmental Scientist with strong regulatory compliance skills to work with our multidiscipline teams to develop strategies and solutions on challenging permitting and wetland science assignments related to water supply, climate resiliency, watershed management, stormwater, ecological restoration, and wastewater projects.
This position offers extensive growth opportunities in areas of interest to the right candidate, to take on additional responsibilities over time in our fast-growing operation.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing and applying a variety of local, state, and federal regulatory standards Coordinating with project engineers and primarily municipal, state, and federal clients to identify and resolve critical permitting issues Coordinating with state and federal agencies to gain consensus and approvals for work in jurisdictional areas Preparing applications for a variety of local, state, and federal permitting programs in New England, including forms, narratives, and coordination of drawings Assistance with business development opportunities Managing schedule and budget Preparing and delivering presentations to clients and regulators Supporting field efforts, including wetland delineations, vegetation sampling and/or wildlife habitat assessments Utilizing scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions to a wide range of challenging problems Recording, interpreting, and analyzing data in comparison to relevant studies and regulations to achieve regulatory compliance Writing technical reports and environmental impact analysis documents With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOM's Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national and international project experience to provide today's municipalities, industries and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. 
Qualifications Minimum Requirements :
BA/BS in Biology, Wetland Science, Environmental Science, or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Four plus (4+) years of experience focusing on natural resource/wetlands projects and related permitting/regulation in New England or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education· Valid Driver's License Required Preferred Qualifications : Advanced degree in a related field 6+ years of experience focusing on natural resource/wetlands projects and environmental compliance in New England Proven track record in preparing environmental permitting applications and technical reports, including prior experience with Sections 401/401 of the Clean Water Act, Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Massachusetts/National Environmental Policy Act, or MassDEP Chapter 91 regulations. SWS Professional Wetland Scientist or CT or NH wetland science certification Ability to work with a team consisting of several technical disciplines Strong written and oral communication skills Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills Qualifications Minimum Requirements :
