Job summary
The Co-Responder position is a Designated Crisis Responder embedded with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department and part of the Mobile Outreach Crisis Team.The role involves crisis intervention, conducting evaluations, and linking consumers with mental health services.Work is performed to provide 20/7 coverage for substance use consumers and their support systems.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in their homes or other environments• Develop and communicate treatment and safety plans for resolving psychiatric crises• Act as a liaison between the mobile outreach team and the Behavioral Health Organization• Develop relationships with community resources to divert individuals in crisis from inpatient care• Collaborate and liaise with other BHO services, state agencies, and community social services• Provide testimony and advocacy with courts and other agencies
Requirements
• Must be a mental health professional according to WAC ******** • Current Washington state driver's license• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Mental Health setting• Current or former experience as a Designated Mental Health Professional preferred• Proof of a safe driving record obtained from a motor vehicle report
