About The Role:
We are currently looking for a Payroll Tax Manager to work out of our St. Louis office. This position will oversee multi-state payroll tax activities for our clients and is critical to ensuring our clients are compliant with tax regulations. This is a management role with significant responsibility and leadership requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the review and submission of all required payroll tax deposits and returns accurately and timely to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Lead the research and resolution of all tax notices and inquiries. Manage new client tax implementation and termination of departing clients. Supervise the processing of tax adjustments and verifications. Ensure clients are registered with taxing agencies as required. Develop and mentor a team of payroll tax specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Monitor and analyze payroll tax processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices. Act as a liaison between clients and taxing agencies to facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues. Skills and Requirements:
Extensive experience processing payroll tax payments with federal, state, and local taxing agencies. In-depth knowledge and understanding of current payroll and tax laws. Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of team development. Excellent communicator with exceptional people skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Superior analysis and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset. Proficiency with isolved HCM software is a plus. Benefits:
