Reporting to the Senior Manager Total Rewards, the Payroll Specialist will consist of processing a bi-weekly payroll timely and accurately for a multi-state organization, maintaining the time and attendance system to ensure accurate data, and elevating our payroll operations. The Payroll Specialist requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is based out of our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Leads the accurate and timely execution of payroll operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This encompasses the management of salaries, benefits, taxes, deductions, and other compensation elements. Develops and maintains a Benefits Cost Analysis spreadsheet, capturing all related invoices and payments. Takes responsibility for the creation, implementation, and upkeep of payroll policies, aligning with legal standards and organizational goals. Drives the optimization of payroll systems through strategic technology integration and continuous improvement initiatives. Provides training and support to enhance system understanding and use among managers and associates. Offers exceptional support and communication to all stakeholders, addressing payroll-related inquiries with a focus on service excellence. Maintain productive relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies. Manages local and state tax and unemployment insurance registrations and requirements. Ensure accurate processing and reporting of taxes and deductions in line with government mandates. Partners with the Senior Specialist Operations to understand labor scheduling needs for the upcoming week, gather labor schedule needs, and input into the time and attendance system. Administers manufacturing hourly attendance policy via the time and attendance system. Compiles and analyzes labor reports as a support the entire organization.  Compiles needed data for this area needed for the monthly Holding Company report. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum five (5) years of experience in processing multi-state payroll. Strong written and verbal communication with ability to work cross-functionally is required. Previous payroll processing system experience is required. Payroll tax and compliance knowledge is required. Preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred. UKG experience is strongly preferred. SAP system knowledge preferred. Manufacturing and Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience (CPG) preferred. Skills Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data. Excellent decision making, problem solving and organizational skills. Ownership and strategic thinking in mitigating risks and enhancing system efficiencies. Maintain productive relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies. Demonstrated ability to work on a team and work jointly across departments. What can you expect?
