Payroll Associate Location Gastonia, NC : Everhart, Grant & Assoc. PA is looking to hire a Payroll Associate PAYROLL ASSOCIATE - Everhart, Grant & Associates, PA, is a Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in both North Carolina and South Carolina which is experiencing significant growth through our continuing endorsement from (Dave) Ramsey Solutions. We are looking for a Payroll Associate. This position will perform all payroll duties for our corporate clients. In weeks with light payroll duties, the remaining hours will focus on performing clerical and bookkeeping duties.
The successful associate will carry out all tasks with close attention to detail.
This is a full-time in office position. Part time could be considered for the right candidate.
Applicants not having a minimum of 3 years payroll experience will not be considered. Applicants not completing the skills tests will not be considered. Payroll Associate Responsibilities (Primary position): · Enter all Payroll Data for New Hires and Subsequent Changes into Payroll System.
· Ask and answer payroll questions.
· Collect and verify worked hours data.
· Enter data into required governmental sites
· Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
· Maintain and update all payroll records.
· Prepare all necessary payroll reports to include quarterly and end of year reports as well as generating and filing of W2's and W3.
Bookkeeping/Clerical Assistant Responsibilities: *Based on Payroll workload* · Enter data for new corporate clients into case management software.
· Ask and receive answers to corporate write-up questions.
· Collect and verify data.
· Investigate data entry discrepancies.
· Maintain and update all corporate client data records.
· Prepare any necessary reports.
Payroll Associate Requirements: · Previous professional office experience required.
· Reliability is required.
· Minimum of 3 years previous payroll experience is required.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Good math and communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Proficient in computer literacy is required.
· Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
· Team player.
· Experience with QuickBooks preferred but not required.
· Experience with Adobe PDF Pro preferred but not required.
· Experience with Excel is required.
A candidate with strong work ethics and base office skill set is a must. We will train on job specifics and different programs.
