Payer Strategy Contract Specialist

Job summary
CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Contract Negotiator to support the negotiation of Managed Care payer contracts.The primary focus of this role is to ensure that payer contracts adhere to CommonSpirit Health standards and guidelines.The Contract Negotiator will work closely with the Contract Manager and other PSR leadership.

Responsibilities
• Review contract proposals, language, and rate sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with CommonSpirit Health standards.• Recommend corrections and changes to contract documents.• Develop and update project plan documents and meeting minutes.• Ensure all contract documents are signed by the appropriate parties.• Coordinate with other team members to facilitate credentialing of CSH entities.• Maintain inventory of CSH hospitals and specialty hospitals.• Communicate and operationalize contract terms and amendments.• Maintain knowledge base of National Payers.• Adhere to established contracting guidelines.• Accountability for negotiation support includes hospital, physician, and ancillary services.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.• Minimum of three (3) years' negotiation or sales experience in a healthcare related field.
