Job summary
The primary purpose of the Patient Services Coordinator position is to provide and coordinate all tasks associated with patient services.The Patient Services Coordinator impacts patient care services throughout MDACC.

Responsibilities
• Greeting and orienting patients• Advising patients and family members of available services• Scheduling patient visits, appointments, tests, procedures, and treatments• Confirming clinic appointments• Transcribing and coordinating physician orders• Communicating relevant information to patients, families, physicians, and other team members• Preparing and maintaining appointment templates and patient records• Updating patient information to maintain accurate records• Reviewing and reconciling patient charge documents• Assisting in maintaining a safe environment for patients, co-workers, and visitors
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Three years of relevant work experience• Passing a pre-employment skills test• Must meet the equal employment opportunity requirements
