The Patient Service Associate is responsible for smooth clinic, patient, and billing flowWorks as a team member to facilitate patient care and optimize revenueHandles high volume incoming calls and assists physicians/administrators

Responsibilities
• Greet and direct patients, prepare daily clinic schedule, update physicians' schedules• Maintain patient files and records, interface with corporate departments• Handle high volume incoming calls, review charts and insurance referrals/authorizations• Assist physicians/administrators in business and patient care responsibilities• Coordinate office communication flow, greet and assist visitors• Ensure patient demographic and insurance information, answer telephones• Review patient intake information, verify insurance coverage• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, act in a non-directive manner• Identify and collect co-pays, reconcile patient payments, prepare billing sheets• Ensure clinical staff submits outpatient billing sheets, maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent• Three years recent experience in a related position• Ability to prioritize job duties and meet deadlines• Superior customer service and communication skills• Strong computer knowledge, medical terminology preferred• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment• Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail capabilities
