My Best Homecare is a well-established Home Respiratory Medical Equipment provider for almost 2 decades in California. We are currently looking to hire a permanent full-time position Patient Service Representative at our Sacramento location. The main job responsibilities of the PSR include performing many of the tasks below as assigned by the manager or supervisor. Process new patient orders according to company policies. Schedule appointments for equipment setup and delivery. Perform scheduled follow-up phone calls to patients using rental equipment. Perform insurance verification and request for insurance authorization. Review patient records for relevant up-to-date information prior to process patient supply requests. Process new patient supply requests and check for delivery confirmation prior to billing. Update patient records for complete and accurate information such as physician orders, insurance authorizations, equipment serial numbers, and other relevant information. Review patient records for completion and accuracy prior to billing. Document control: Review incoming electronic faxes and emails and file them electronically. Review and update company manager and supervisor of patient equipment usage data via direct downloads and/or remotely.

The idea candidate should possess the following skills: Excellent English oral and written skills. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Excellent customer service and telephone skills. Honest, reliable, and responsible team player. Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with minimal supervision. Ability to focus and to follow detailed instructions accurately and completely. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with deadlines simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong typing skills. Have basic working knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private medical insurance. Enjoy working with people and is passionate about helping people.
