Patient Service Representative (Call Center) Location Brockton, MA : Busy GI Practice Seeks Experienced Patient Service Representative for a Fast Paced Scheduling Call Center. Gastrointestinal Specialists is a physician owned private practice specializing in Gastroenterology. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to join our team. Candidate must have a medical background and exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills with professionalism and efficiency. Duties include but not limited to:
Responsibilities: Answer multi line telephone system in a call center environment. Professionally and accurately triage all incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers and others. Accurately process all patient and provider messages. Schedule, reschedule and cancel patient appointments. Understanding of GI scheduling services and provider preferences. Accurately register patients within practice management software. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance requirements. Request and follow-up on all referral authorizations as needed. Maintain and respect all patient confidentiality. Perform other related duties as required to support the Central Scheduling Department. Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Medical Office Experience Required HIPAA Knowledge Medical Terminology Experience with Medical Office and EMR Software Ability to Navigate Between Multiple Systems Simultaneously Ability to Work in a Team Setting Excellent Customer Service Skills Experience with De-Escalating Difficult Patient Calls Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills Call Center Experience a Plus This is an In-Person Position.
