Patient Registration Representative - Remote in Owensboro, KY. They are a nonprofit system with over 200 providers at more than 20 locations, 3 outpatient facilities, a certified medical fitness facility, a surgical weight loss center and the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center. Connecting. Growing together. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm. Our office is located at 2200 E Parrish Ave Owensboro, KY 42303.
We offer 8 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm. Training will be conducted on-site at 2200 E Parrish Ave Owensboro, KY 42303 . All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Primary Responsibilities: Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles May communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff. Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and/or to confirm appointments. Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary. May be responsible for managing the referral work queue, entering patient demographic information, and scanning documents into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The pace is fast, so your ability to multi-task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our customers.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED Ability to train 8 weeks onsite at 2200 E Parrish Ave Owensboro, KY 42303. Ability to work remote, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm (after training). Must be 18 years of age OR older Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry 1+ years of customer service experience. Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology Telecommuting Requirements: Reside within Owensboro, KY Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
