Patient Engagement Manager Full Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday | 8am - 5 pm Salary up to $45,000/year based on experience Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Patient Engagement Manager for LSS Health Center (formerly Health Center at Faith Mission) in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need. What will I do as a Patient Engagement Manager with Lutheran Social Services? Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. Delegate tasks and set deadlines. Oversee day-to-day operation of front office flow. Monitor team performance and report on metrics. Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts. Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments. Motivate team members to perform at their best. Create a supportive team environment. Assist in overseeing all health insurance plans and has a working understanding of all Ohio Medicaid and Medicare Plans. Participates in Quality Improvement activities and implements improvements to patient engagement team. Participates in Health Center Managers Meeting, Faith Mission Managers Meetings, as needed. Leads the front office operations to collect intake information, billing information, demographics, referral information, and other data for the Electronic Health Record. Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Addresses maintenance issues by submitting work orders and conducting follow-up as needed. Filing, faxing, organizing, and other general office and reception duties. Work alongside Health Center Navigators (Reception) to greet clients, arrange schedules to accommodate patients, and schedule appointments. Assists patients with filling out paperwork as needed. Responsible for updating registration and maintaining standardization of other health center forms. Assists with triage and patient preparation for provider visits as needed. Manages inventory and purchases supplies for front reception area. Creates, updates, distributes, and posts signs, flyers, and calendars. Trains front office staff, care coordinators and others as needed. Requirements for a Patient Engagement Manager with Lutheran Social Services: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, social work, public health, health education or related healthcare field preferred; or equivalent experience with Community Health Worker training Experience in social services required. Program development and understanding of healthcare programs required. Previous experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers and/or primary care setting strongly preferred. Experience in ambulatory care and public health settings. Experience in Ohio Medicaid and Medicare contacting and plans. Experience with data and reporting. Proficiency with basic software (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, etc.). Strong customer service background; working with diverse populations including but not limited to homelessness, behavioral health, substance abuse/addiction, chronic physical illness. Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required.
