Patient Care Technician

Job summary
Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Med/Surg & ICU Departments in the role of Patient Care Technician.This position will work in both departments.This position is 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week) night shift (6:00pm-6:00am).
Job seniority: entry (0-2 years experience) level
Responsibilities
• Performing clerical tasks and patient care activities• Maintaining and assisting with patient records• Ordering supplies and services• Scheduling diagnostic tests and treatments• Assisting physicians and nurses• Organizing, assisting, and implementing specific aspects of the plan of care• Communicating with patients, families, and healthcare team• Documenting care per hospital protocol• Working on other units as required• Adhering to individual competency
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Nursing Assistant Certification• Patient Care Technician Certification - Optional• Health Unit Coordinator Program Graduate – Optional• CPR Certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
