Job summary
Functions as a liaison between referring physician offices, patients and WU specialists to coordinate the scheduling of specialty appointments and testing.

Responsibilities
• Processes referral requests for specialty appointments and testing• Communicates scheduled appointments/testing to patients and referring physician offices• Documents status of referral request and communication with specialty office and patient• Maintains working knowledge of WU specialty practices and their operational systems• Stays abreast of new services, new faculty, and areas of interest• Maintains working knowledge of managed care contracts and coverage• Provides timely and personalized customer service• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Three years of experience in billing systems and third-party claims or related customer service/office experience• Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire date• Demonstrated interpersonal skills• Working knowledge of insurance and financial options• Associates degree preferred• Working knowledge of existing technologies and software programs• Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks• Attention to detail
