We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Coder to join our team. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in accurately abstracting medical records and assigning appropriate codes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM coding.
Understanding of CPT guidelines for separate procedures, bundling, and add-on codes.
Experience in abstracting medical records for precise CPT code assignments.
Preferred experience in surgical pathology.
Ability to review, resolve, and prevent coding denials effectively.
Familiarity with CMS initiatives including NCCI Edits, MIPS, and NCD/LCD policies.
