We are seeking teachers who are excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods. Please note - while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state tasting and student events.
About the Opportunity Collaborates with the Head of School, Principal, Success Coordinator, School Counselor, and other Admin staff as it pertains to student attendance and truancy program development and implementation. Serve on the school extended leadership team as the primary point of contact for local systems and compliance with attendance. Responsible for collaboration with the regional team for outreach and compliance with 30-Hour, 72-Hour, and HB409 attendance processes. Facilitate excused absence process with administration. Supports long-term excused absence protocol. Develop and implement new staff training and onboarding. Provide regular school-wide reports to department leaders. Collaborate with the Success Coordinator to develop operational processes for new student onboarding programming. Responsible for understanding compliance requirements in orientation sessions. Schedule new students into Homeroom/Advisory classrooms and into Coach Orientation Course. Facilitate incoming student diagnostic assessments. Participate in national Bi-weekly Operations Meeting and share with extended leadership team. Local testing point of contact to assist with the coordination of staff/student communications. Facilitate Summer School outreach and communications. Fill in as a substitute or facilitate the coverage of duties for any Success Coach that is unavailable. Responsible for tracking and reporting data as directed by Supervisor. Support Administration in all internal operational needs. Responsible for the management of contact changes in the student information system. Perform other duties as assigned. About You Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Services, Related Field 4+ years of experience in the K-12 educational setting Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently Customer service oriented Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members Prior administrative assistance experience preferred Prior experience working in a school setting preferred Ability to work independently and contribute to a team Understanding and ability to manage confidential information Ability to lift 25 lbs Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks About Us
