We are looking for a parts shipping & receiving person. This position will handle processing of incoming parts, sorting the parts for where they belong, stocking parts on the shelves, pulling parts for deliveries, returns or technicians. This person will work both independently and with the manager and counter staff to assist customers.This position will also pack parts for outgoing shipments,Hours are from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.This position is an excellent steppingstone for promotion both within the department and the dealership group.The Parts Shipping and Receiving Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Assures proper control of parts inventory and related administrative functions.ResponsibilitiesCount, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments, verity information against invoices, orders and other recordsDetermine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and ratesKeep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled.Maintain receiving and shipping records, delivery truck maintenance records and returned parts records.Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortagesEnsure that outgoing shipments meet specifications.Maintain inventory of shipping materials and suppliesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to lift and carry 50 lbs on an occasional basis.High attention to details and part numbering logisticsPunctuality is critical.Self-starter and motivated, ability to work independently often.Positive attitude and willingness to learn additional responsibilities.Above average computer skillsMust have a valid driver's license.Ability to use parts department computer system.Above average communication skillsAbility to operate an automobile.
