Job summary
The Ultrasound Technologist works as a member of the UltrasoundTeam, reporting to the Ultrasound Manager.This role provides ultrasound based imaging to patients and supports the patient experience throughout their time at GLMI.Effective communication between departments and exemplary patient care must be maintained.

Responsibilities
• Perform all duties of an ultrasound technologist including operating ultrasound equipment, assisting with procedures, and patient positioning.• Communicate with patients regarding medical history, symptoms, and explanation of procedures.• Review previous imaging, verify accuracy of orders, and enter data in the Radiology Information System.• Present technical findings to Radiologist and maintain a clean and orderly work area.• Attend to the medical needs of the patient, clean transducers after each exam, and restock supplies.• Assist administrative staff and fellow technologists when necessary.• Operate standard imaging equipment such as ultrasound machines and PACS/RIS computer.• Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
• Ability to perform each duty as listed above.• Strong computer skills including use of information systems and Google based programs.• Problem solving skills and strong oral communication skills.• Strong customer service skills and diplomacy.• Experience in radiology or medical terminology preferred.• Associate's degree (AAS) and subsequent Ultrasound technical program or Bachelor's Degree in US.• CPR certification.• ARDMS and RVT certifications.
