Job summary
Part-time role on the Stats & Analysis team within ESPN's Stats & Information GroupEnsure accuracy of sports data on ESPN platforms worldwideTurn stats into story lines

Responsibilities
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and insightfulness of sports data distributed by Stats & Information• Deliver accurate play-by-play, clock-and-score, and other statistics and data in real time• Develop and maintain knowledge of ESPN digital products and TV productions• Verify own and others' work with high attention to detail• Contribute to production, projects, and initiatives• Anticipate and offer solutions for potential problems• Communicate quickly and decisively with colleagues• Take a proactive role in developing or refining production processes• Participate in team and department meetings• Seek and respond to feedback• Stay informed of department policies and procedures
Requirements
• Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of the games• Full schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays• Quickly learn production processes for sports data• Achieve high content accuracy in time-sensitive production situations• Communicate assertively to production supervisors and peers• Preferred: 1+ years' experience in sports and/or statistics• Preferred: Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and research• Preferred: Working knowledge of ESPN products and productions• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Excel and Office products• Preferred: Experience leading or coaching a team• Preferred: Ability to speak and write Spanish• Preferred: Experience using social media in a business or news environment• Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent• Preferred Education: College degree or equivalent• Additional Information: Position works nights, weekends, and holidays
Key Skills Needed
