APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM, SO APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.STATISTICS, PART-TIME LECTURER POOLThe Statistics Department in the Bailey College of Science and Mathematics at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers from our local geographic area. Positions are available as determined by need during Fall, Winter, and/or Spring quarters of the 2024-25 academic year. Duties involve teaching undergraduate statistics courses.Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. There are twenty tenure-track faculty members in the department, all of whom have their PhD degree in Statistics, as well as several full-time and part-time lecturers. Faculty members come from diverse backgrounds and have a wide spectrum of emphasis areas in statistics.
