Part Time Assistants at Empower Learn Create work with classroom lead teachers to assist with implementing a constructivist classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of young children. This role requires a passionate educator who can support and foster a nurturing and stimulating learning atmosphere where children can explore, create, and grow. ELC at UC has a commitment to teaching with a social emotional lens. The environment supports the teacher's role with a beautiful natural play space and innovative art studio. Our hours of operation are 8-5 Monday through Friday. Duties Key Responsibilities: Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities based on constructivist principles to promote holistic development in young children. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmnet that encourages curiousity, exploration and critical thinking. Collaborate with colleagues to execute learning experiences that align with the center's educational philosophy and goals. Support the lead teacher in assessing and monitoring children's progress, providing individulaized support and guidance as needed. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and partnerships to support ch ildren's learning and development. Requirements Required Qualifications: Proven experience working with you children in an educational setting. knowledge of constructivist teaching approaches adn their application in early childhood education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues. Understanding of child development principles and effective practices in early childhood education. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching. Nice To Haves Preferred: Experience in an early childcare setting preferred. Familiarity with state licensing regulations and early learning standards. Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for inspiring young learners. Benefits
