Responsibilities
• Provide timely and relevant information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates• Stay up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to develop personal and organizational capabilities• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work• Identify value creation opportunities through data analysis• Support transformational initiatives• Engage with corporate and industry experts• Monitor and optimize key process indicators• Work with capital engineering for potential upgrades• Optimize chemical and energy costs• Evaluate potential upgrades for long-term sustainability
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5 years utilities operating experience• Experience in leading and implementing improvement initiatives• Experience with power gas and bark fired boilers, feedwater systems, water treatment, and wastewater treatment operations• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of power, recovery, or recaustisizing environment• Experience in the pulp and paper industry• Experience with steam turbine operations• Experience with the Kraft Chemical Recovery process• Experience in water treatment or wastewater treatment facilities• Experience using SAP
